An Idol Mind...

For a show I have not watched since the year they handed McPhee's title to that guy whose name I forget... I got a call from my mom one night saying... "what about that Adam... isn't he AMAZING?"

I had not heard a single note of Idol this season.

SO I boogied my little butt over to the computer... dialed up idolonfox.com and watched recap performances of this Adam my mother liked so much.

I was RiVoTed...

Seriously, I could not believe the more mature look, sound and feel of the American Idol show.

I watched a few other performers too.. but that "Mad World" original performance stuck with me for DAYS. Still pops in my head every now and again.

So. I know this kid comes with his controversy... but Jeez if we don't have gossip about a person on their ascent we will hit them twice as hard on the way back down. (Think not? Did you RAVE about Michael Jackson when you saw that live performance of Bille Jean on the Grammies in 1983? And now what have you said recently about the king of Pop? Mmmmm Hmmmm.)

So I hope that he goes far, stays true to himself. Comes out when he is ready, on his own terms... or not... if he feels the need not to. These people come to entertain us - and we usually sacrifice their souls for our entertainment. Maybe we could just enjoy the show and leave their personal lives to them and their loved ones? Yeah - I have a feeling I will need some work in that department. *Nodding enthusiastically*

I am so thrilled that Jetsunma is writing, recording and producing great music... it is opening my eyes (or ears perhaps) to the potency of weaving substance into the sounds. Whether you think about it or not - lyrics and music get stuck in your head. Why not make it meaningful??

Irregardless of the venue... I enjoy seeing fantastic musicians perform and hearing these voices being born out of thin air. Back in the day it took a musician 4-EvEr to claw their way into the limelight. Now we mass produce music through lightening fast media and digital distribution!!

Alright - before I make too many points to wrap up my post...

Kudos Adam on a great run over at Fox!

Here's the interview (pop some corn - it is a nice long chat with season highlights!)

If you know the people I know... and some of you do... does Adam Lambert sometimes seem like the hybrid lab combination of Cian and Ben? Or is it just me? I dig this guy's vibe, voice and style!!

Peace ya'll...
